What is SOC 2 Type 2?
Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 Type 2 provides a framework for assessing an organisation’s controls for managing data based on five Trust Services Criteria—security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is widely recognised as the gold standard in security for Software as a Service (SaaS) businesses such as Typefi.
Achieving compliance is a lengthy and rigorous process, and attestation reports are issued by an independent auditor following an examination period of several months.
Security is part of our culture
Led by Karl Jankowski, IT Director, Typefi has spent the last six months aligning its security program with the SOC 2 Type 2 criteria.
This process included special emphasis on policies, infrastructure controls, intrusion detection, assessment activities, product security, and employee awareness.
At Typefi, we strongly believe that security is a shared responsibility. All Typefi employees have undertaken training in security, privacy, and confidentiality, have agreed to a strict set of security policies, and maintain an ongoing commitment to ensuring the integrity and privacy of customer data.
