The Zero Distance Awards were launched in 2020 by the Business Ecosystem Alliance (BEA) to celebrate the ground-breaking work of organisations around the world seeking to eliminate the distance between their employees, their operations, and their customers.

56th Australian Export Awards 2018
Finalist, Small Business
Typefi proudly represented Queensland at the 56th Australian Export Awards at the National Arboretum in Canberra in November, after winning the Premier of Queensland’s Export Award for Small Business in October.
The annual awards program celebrates Australian companies engaged in international business who have achieved sustainable growth through innovation and commitment.
While the the top gong in the Small Business category went to Victoria’s photoSentinel, the national judges commended Typefi on a strong application, saying that the company is “forward-thinking with sound knowledge of their product, their markets and customers”.

Sunshine Coast Business Awards 2018
Hall of Fame
Typefi was inducted into the Sunshine Coast Business Awards Hall of Fame at the 2018 awards gala on 17 November, alongside Australia Zoo and The Compass Institute.
Typefi has previously won Sunshine Coast Business Awards in 2015 (Technology and Excellence in Innovation), 2016 (Excellence in Export), and 2017 (Technology).

Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards 2018

Typefi was once again been recognised for its contribution to Queensland’s economy in 2018, winning the Premier of Queensland’s Export Award for Small Business and being named as a finalist in the Digital Technologies category.
Ben Hauser, Vice President Engineering, said it was an honour to be chosen from amongst a strong and diverse field of Small Business finalists. Typefi will now go on to represent Queensland in the Small Business category of the 56th Australian Export Awards in Canberra on 27 November.

The London Book Fair International Excellence Awards 2018
Finalist, Accessible Books Consortium International Excellence Award: Initiative
Typefi was shortlisted as a finalist for the 2018 Accessible Books Consortium International Excellence Award (Initiative), alongside Dolphin Computer Access (UK), Fundação Dorina Nowill para Cegos (Brazil), and this year’s category winner, DAISY Forum of India.
These annual awards, part of The London Book Fair International Excellence Awards, recognise outstanding leadership and achievements in advancing the accessibility of digital publications for persons who are print disabled.
Typefi has promoted and facilitated accessible publishing since 2006. We strongly believe that making content accessible to everyone creates a better experience for all consumers, and it was a great honour to be named as a finalist for this prestigious award.

Typefi was awarded the 2017 Sunshine Coast Business Award for Technology at a gala dinner at Novotel Twin Waters Resort on 18 November.
The awards program recognises the achievements of businesses in the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland, Australia, where Typefi’s head office has been based since the company’s founding in 2001.
With competition in the Technology category becoming increasingly tough over the last few years, the team was thrilled to be honoured with the win!

Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards 2017

Typefi was shortlisted as a finalist in the Small Business category of the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards for the second year running, amongst a diverse group of small businesses which included Clean Oil Services, Noonan Ultimate Race Engineering, and this year’s category winner, Tooletries.
The annual Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards program acknowledges those Queensland businesses engaged in international trade, and rewards their dedication to being the best at what they do within the state and around the world.

Typefi was named as winner of the Small Business category at the 54th Australian Export Awards on Thursday, 24 November 2016, cementing its position as one of Australia’s leading exporters.
The judges commended Typefi’s clear commitment to pursuing its goals through international business channels, and cited its diverse workforce, a robust and systematic approach to financial and risk management, and a highly client-centric approach as winning factors.

Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards 2016

Typefi was recognised for outstanding international success at the 2016 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards, winning the Small Business category. The awards acknowledge the significant achievements that Queensland-based exporters have made to improving the state’s economic activity and boosting jobs.
CEO Chandi Perera was manning Typefi’s exhibit at the 2016 Frankfurt Book Fair when he learned of the announcement, and said he was happy to see Typefi recognised for its commitment to international business.

Typefi won two awards at the hotly-contested 21st annual Sunshine Coast Business Awards on 7 November 2015—the Sunshine Coast Business Award for Technology, and the Excellence Award for Innovation. Typefi was also named as a finalist in the Excellence Awards categories for Export and Customer Service.
Typefi has been based on the Sunshine Coast since its founding in 2001, and is now considered a global leader in automated publishing. With so many exciting new technology ventures now calling the Sunshine Coast home, Typefi is delighted to be considered a leader in technology and innovation in its home region as well as globally.
