Established in 2001 on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, Typefi initially launched with the vision of providing automated publishing software for print documents that would enable collaborative workflows within workgroups and across enterprises.
Recognising the early promise of Adobe InDesign for layout, the potential of Extensible Markup Language (XML) as an interchange format, and the strength of Microsoft Office as an authoring and editorial tool, Typefi combined these with its patented automation intelligence to deliver the world’s first fully automated desktop publishing system in 2004.
Expanding to North America in 2007 and then to Europe in 2009, Typefi’s vision for its products and services broadened as the digital revolution gained momentum and new ways of delivering content emerged.

56th Australian Export Awards 2018
Finalist, Small Business
Typefi proudly represented Queensland at the 56th Australian Export Awards at the National Arboretum in Canberra in November, after winning the Premier of Queensland’s Export Award for Small Business in October.
The annual awards program celebrates Australian companies engaged in international business who have achieved sustainable growth through innovation and commitment.
While the the top gong in the Small Business category went to Victoria’s photoSentinel, the national judges commended Typefi on a strong application, saying that the company is “forward-thinking with sound knowledge of their product, their markets and customers”. Read more…

Typefi was inducted into the Sunshine Coast Business Awards Hall of Fame at the 2018 awards gala on 17 November, alongside Australia Zoo and The Compass Institute.

Typefi was once again been recognised for its contribution to Queensland’s economy in 2018, winning the Premier of Queensland’s Export Award for Small Business and being named as a finalist in the Digital Technologies category.
