We’re hosting a Typefi Orion roundtable discussion on 26 August at 10 am EDT (3 pm BST). Check your time zone here.
This roundtable will be slightly different, and it’s one many of you have been waiting for—it’s time to talk about Standards!
Practice differs widely on when and how a standard is reconciled with the information maintained outside it, and on who owns that decision. We want to be led by your practice rather than our assumptions. No demonstration, no roadmap—this roundtable will be an open discussion on four crucial parts of Standards publishing:
- Terminology and definitions
- Document metadata
- Normative references
- Adoptions and national deviations
We’ve asked Damian Gibbs from Typefi to join this session as well. Damian is a seasoned Standards publishing expert with decades of experience, and he works daily with all kinds of Standards publishers. His expertise will help guide us through the discussion.
This is probably the most important roundtable to date for anyone planning to publish Standards using Typefi Orion. We hope you’ll join us!
