Standards Publishing Workshop

Thursday, 2 May 2019, 8:30am–12:30pm (Free*)

Standards publishing processes have rapidly changed over the past few years thanks to several key drivers, including the advent of NISO STS and ISO STS—the XML ‘standards for standards publishing’.

This half-day workshop for standards publishing professionals will cover all aspects of modern standards publishing workflows, including an introduction to and updates on NISO STS, case studies from standards development organisations, and insights into the benefits (and challenges) of adopting an XML workflow.

Presenters include:

  • Bruce Rosenblum, CEO of Inera & Co-Chair of the NISO STS Working Group
  • Damian Gibbs, Typefi Solutions Consultant (Standards)

Attendees at this workshop will learn how modern publishing workflows can reduce production time and costs, facilitate interoperability between standards organisations, aid content reuse for additional products and revenue, enable creation of multiple publication formats for different devices, support production of accessible publications for the visually impaired, and more!

We’ll be announcing more speakers shortly, so keep an eye on this page for further details.

*There is no charge to attend the Standards Publishing workshop but registration is essential as numbers are strictly limited.
