InDesign CS5.5’s EPUB Export Options provide the option to include file metadata, so filling in the metadata fields in File > File Info allows book publishers to embed core metadata (for example, book title, author, description, copyright status and information) in their EPUBs.
Typefi Publish now has an additional EPUB module that automates the embedding of metadata via the use of project fields, so Typefi customers don’t even have to open their InDesign documents to fill in the File Info fields. With the module installed, running the EPUB job option generates the EPUB with the metadata pulled from the project fields, eliminating any need for re-keying such basic metadata as the book title.
