Typefi Appoints Chandi Perera

San Jose, CA – November 17, 2005 –Typefi Systems, Inc. today announced it has named Chandi Perera as its new vice president of professional services. In his new role, Perera will be responsible for overseeing customer implementation of Typefi’s dynamic enterprise publishing solutions. Typefi Print allows any user to dynamically create brand or regulatory compliant documents from within Microsoft Word by converting plain text into PDF documents that have all images, fonts, logos and branding guidelines automatically applied. Typefi Publish allows authors, editors and graphic designers to seamlessly collaborate on the design and authoring of books and other long complex documents.
Previously, Perera worked as the CIO at Lonely Planet, the world’s largest independent travel publisher. He has acted as a technology consultant to government agencies around the world. Perera is a frequent conference speaker in the areas of content management, publishing, media, XML, structured content, and digital rights management. In his new role, Perera will help organizations integrate the Typefi products into their new or existing document and content management systems. Typefi’s patented scriptless automation engine is capable of producing thousands of unique professionally typeset pages per hour while integrating XML and marketing content from multiple sources.
Perera will also oversee the training of authorized resellers in the Typefi Publishing System reseller program. The Typefi Print solution is ideal for marketing departments, ad agencies, service bureaus, franchises, organizations with ongoing re-branding initiatives, and any company looking to streamline document publishing.
