Typefi Appoints New CEO

Leading Provider of Enterprise Publishing Solutions for publishing, marketing communications and corporate applications appoints highly experienced industry leader as Chief Executive Officer
San Jose, CA – September 10 2006 – Typefi systems, a world leader in providing publishing automation solutions announced the appointment of Chandi Perera as CEO and president of Typefi globally.
Based in Melbourne Australia, Perera joined Typefi in November 2005 as the Senior Vice President for Professional Services. He has over 15 years of publishing and media technology experience and has been instrumental in bringing new publishing technologies to a range of customers around the world. Most recently Perera was the principal of Perera Consulting Group and prior to that finished a five year role as the CIO for Lonely Planet Publications.
“We are very excited to have Chandi on board,” said Steve Huff, Founder and Director who will transfer from CEO to a new role of Managing Director Asia Pacific focusing on market development activities across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. “Chandi brings the leadership and commercial expertise as well as breadth of commercial knowledge necessary to make Typefi a truly global company”.
With operations in Australia and the USA Perera’s role will focus on rapidly expanding the markets and revenue base of the organization. While taking on the role of CEO, Perera will continue to lead the professional services group and will be closely involved in product development and implementation activities.
