Leading developer of solutions for book, corporate, and enterprise publishing applications continues its commitment to Adobe’s powerhouse Creative Suite software.
Boston, MA, – May 5, 2005 – Typefi Systems, a world leader in scriptless automated publishing, workflow and content management software, announced the support of Adobe InDesign CS2 in a pending release of its revolutionary technology platform, the Typefi Publishing System (TPS).
InDesign CS2 is the fourth major version of Adobe’s flagship desktop publishing package. Steve Huff, CEO of Typefi, said “We believe CS2, when combined with TPS, provides a quantum leap in long or complex document production. Together they represent the most powerful solution available for book, corporate and enterprise publishing.”
TPS utilizes the page design capabilities of InDesign to allow publishers to create scriptless templates that are powered by Typefi’s innovative automated publishing engine. The system outputs to a PDF or an InDesign document so that designers can continue to “tweak” or change the documents. With Typefi’s unique roundtripping feature, all changes made to the final pages are copied back to the central XML repository and the original Microsoft Word or XML document.
Stephen O’Brien, founder and CTO of Typefi, said “InDesign CS2 provides solid features such as footnotes, anchored objects and lists. In our upcoming release of TPS we add significant enhancements to CS2 which permits a much broader base of documents to be automated using our patent-pending scriptless technology. Specifically, we add features which provide extensive support for technical and financial documents in aninfinitely scalable solution capable of producing many hundreds of thousands of unique, richly-formatted pages every hour.”
