Typefi Announces Typefi Publish 2.8

Typefi Systems, a world leader in automated publishing solutions, today announced the release of the newest version of Typefi Publish.
San Jose, CA June 2007 – Typefi Systems today announced the release of Typefi Publish 2.8 packed with new features and improvements. Typefi Publish 2.8 adds a number of significant new features as well as providing a more open architecture for integrators to utilize this impressive product.
Major new features of Typefi Publish 2.8 include both topical and page-based cross references and automated generation of charts and graphs. In both cases authors and editors using Microsoft® Word or XML-based editors will be able to easily specify cross references or data sets to be graphed. These cross references or charts will then be dynamically generated by Typefi Publish with output to Adobe® InDesign® or PDF.
Typefi Publish 2.8 also provides a full Web Services Interface allowing it to be configured as a publishing service in a Service Orientated Enterprise Architecture. This fully documented and open interface is available to all customers and integrators when creating or configuring applications.
In addition to all these new features, Typefi Publish 2.8 significantly enhances its layout engine to support ever more complex page designs and makes it easier to configure and manage multiple engines for high-volume publishing.

Typefi Publish 2.8 is a XML-based automated publishing solution that is provides cross platform tools for publishers, marketing, communication and advertising departments and agencies to automate their publishing tasks. With an open XML and SOAP architecture, Typefi Publish 2.8 can easily be deployed in applications ranging from layout automation for trade publishing to web-based publish-on-demand applications for books and marketing collateral.
